I recently embarked on a spontaneous adventure; a spur of the moment trip which at first, seemed impractical. I was inducting a new employee, a new financial year was upon us and I wanted to ensure my team was set to meet their business challenges and objectives.
Relying on a philosophy that business performance is underpinned by the quality and talent of people I left full of confidence everything would be fine. Why – because I know my team.
I realise achieving work-life balance is a daily challenge however making time to remove yourself from work-related activities, no matter how short, is a highly effective strategy to replace stress with relaxation and a refreshed attitude. I know having just spending a week driving from Broome to Melbourne via the tracks and trails across Australia.
