Leading people well requires a range of technical skills, role modelling right behaviours, excellent communication skills and relationship building competence. Growing into a competent leader requires the courage to develop self-awareness and to make the necessary adjustments. There is an inherent humility in this process as a leader seeks to equip, empower and build the people around them to create a successful team. These personal insights and skills are best developed through facilitating a dialogue in which a group of people can encourage and challenge one another as they work together to become effective leaders in a complex role.
